Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
If you enter a name or birth date in a search box, the query is sent to the outside provider operating that tool. The provider processes the entry and returns its own results. Texas Warrant Records does not keep a separate record of the search terms entered there.
Messages and Contact Submissions
A message sent to us is retained so we can respond. It is available to our team and is not disclosed beyond the organization unless the law requires disclosure.
Data We Gather Automatically
When a browser requests a page, the server may log technical information about that request, including:
- The date and time of the page request
- Your browser and its version
- The IP address used by your device
- The page viewed and the time spent on it
- Your device type and operating system
- The referring site, when one is supplied
Cookies and Analytics
Cookies are small files saved by your browser. They and analytics services help us understand broad traffic patterns, such as which Texas reference pages receive visits and where people leave. You can block cookies in your browser controls, though some site features may then work differently.
What We Do With This Data
- Diagnosing technical problems and improving page performance
- Operating the site and its search tools
- Measuring which reference pages visitors use
- Displaying advertising that may reflect visitor interests
- Forwarding a query to the provider that supplies the search box
No Warrant Data on File
Texas Warrant Records does not keep or sell a database of individual warrants or case records. Its subject is general information about Texas record custodians: DPS and its restricted law-enforcement systems, district and county-level clerks, JP and municipal courts, and county sheriffs. Government-held records follow the access rules for the custodian. The Texas Public Information Act applies to covered executive-branch records, while judicial records follow Texas Rule of Judicial Administration 12 and controlling statutes or orders. For example, Code of Criminal Procedure Article 15.26 governs public inspection of an executed arrest warrant through the magistrate’s clerk, subject to law and applicable orders. Visitor information described in this policy is not assembled into consumer reports, and this service is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies operate the search boxes shown on some pages. Entries made in a partner tool are handled under that provider’s privacy terms, including its own retention and sharing practices. Those practices are not controlled by this policy; review the provider’s terms before submitting information.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to Texas agencies, court portals, county sheriff pages, legal-aid resources, or commercial search providers. Once you leave this site, the destination’s privacy policy applies. Read it before you share personal information there.
Some advertising partners may use their own technology to follow activity across websites for ad selection. That collection takes place under their systems and policies.
Who Might See Your Data
We do not sell personal information. Depending on how the site is used, information may be handled by:
- Analytics providers measuring traffic and performance
- Search partners processing queries entered in their tools
- Government bodies or law enforcement when a valid legal demand requires it
- Advertising networks that place ads on the pages
How We Protect Your Data
Reasonable security measures are used to protect information handled by the site. No online service can promise perfect security, however, and we cannot guarantee that unauthorized access will never occur.
Users Under 18
The service is intended for adults, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from a person younger than 18. If you believe a minor has sent information to us, contact us so we can review and remove it.
Your Data Rights
The Texas Public Information Act, Government Code Chapter 552, governs access to covered government records; it does not grant access to visitor data held by this private site. Texas court records follow Texas Rule of Judicial Administration 12 and specific statutes or orders. For information held here, you may:
- Request a copy of information we hold about you
- Ask us to correct an error in that information
- Ask us to delete data we hold about you
- Request to opt out of certain data processing
Updates to This Policy
This policy may be revised. A new version and effective date will appear here when changes are made; review it from time to time for the current practices.
